take me out to the ballgame

Over the weekend, Jason and I got a last minute invite to a Braves game.  Since we didn't have any plans, we jumped on the opportunity.  The seats were fantastic and the weather was perfection.  It had been raining earlier in the day, so the temperature dropped and there was a nice breeze.
We enjoyed a great game (Braves won!!), great food and great company.  Not to mention the two hilarious guys that were sitting behind us.  I'm pretty sure I could tell you more about them then I would like to know. ha!

And I have some great news, our AC is fixed!!  One of my cousins just happens to be in school for this type of stuff, so he and one of his classmates were able to fix us right up.  We are incredibly thankful!!

show me your boobies...please

This weekend went sort of as planned.
We had Sabbath lunch with my family. As always we shared plenty of laughs, delicious food, and great conversation.

Jason gave in and we took a trip down to Atlanta to go to Ikea. I found exactly what I was looking for (curtains for the kitchen), along with some other goodies. Jason even managed to enjoy himself and he found some things as well.
We had quite the interesting trip down there, from almost getting killed three times by distracted drivers to a kid holding up a sign saying "show me your boobies please." Of course I was not going to oblige, so Jason did, and made the kid's mom blush. hahaha

Sunday was the day I was hoping to see Betty White at a work event, but I'm sorry to say I did not :(
Jason also worked that day and Betty visited the hospital where he works because they were also sponsors of the event - Jason said that he missed her by FIVE minutes!! I guess it wasn't meant to be. So we decided to wallow in our non-Betty Whiteness by going to Starbucks.

Oh and there was lots of laundry and house cleaning done too.

During our weekend away in Atlanta we stayed at the Embassy Suites at Perimeter Center. We love staying there because they have comfy beds, clean bathrooms, cool decor and a yummy breakfast. The customer service was also excellent as usual. Our room was on the top floor in the corner and it made us feel a little like VIP. We took our time getting up and ready in the morning and then headed off to the mall. One of my favorite things to do in Atlanta is shop - I can't deny it. Some really great deals were found and awesome purchases were made. I would definitely consider this another successful trip to Atlanta. I can't wait to go back.

white water

We had a blast this weekend at Six Flags White Water. We left bright and early so that we could get to the park when it opened. Before we left the house, Jason and I made sure to pack some snacks because food can get pretty spendy at theme parks; of course when they checked our bags they wouldn't let us bring in ANY food - so much for that idea. We stayed at the park from open til close and we were exhausted by the end of the day. My favorite rides were probably the Tornado, Run-a-way River and Bahama Bomb Slide. The lines were pretty long, but we didn't let that bother us. I'm glad we were able to share this fun day with our friends!

Even though we had a great time, I think it will probably be a while before we go to another water park. I really had to ignore and push aside some of my germaphobic tendencies while we were there. Some people just really amaze me. And can I just ask this question: who wears big earrings and high heels to a water park? I mean do people forget where they are going?!

finally the weekend is here

I am super exctied for this weekend. The hubby and I will be going on a weekend getaway to Atlanta. It has been way too long since we have done something like this just the two of us. We will be meeting up with some friends to go to Six Flags White Water on Saturday - which I am thrilled about! Then the rest of the time will be reserved for Jason and I to enjoy some much needed couple time :)

Hope you have a great weekend!!
