bread, milk and eggs - oh my!

sweater-nordstrom, shirt-gap, jeans-buckle, scarf-paris market in savannah, ga, boots-uggs

I had so much fun being "snowed in" with my hubby for two days. That made a total of four full days together without any work for either of us. holy moly. I can't remember when the last time was that we had that many days off in a row together. By the last day I was asking hubby Are you sick of me yet? His reply was Baby, I could be snowed in with you everyday and never get sick of you! Aww. What a sweetheart :)

We did venture out of the house once to go to the grocery store. I figured I better change out of my p.j.s for this occasion. And this is what I wore.

I had to laugh a little at the grocery store because they were almost all out of bread, eggs and milk. Anytime there is a "winter storm" here in the south, people go a little crazy. Luckily, none of those items were at the top of our list. However, frozen mixed veggies were on my list and those were all gone too. Weird.

had a little extra time on my hands today ;)

snow day

My wish came true!

We got a huge amount of snow (for tennessee) and as a result, I got a snow day. Currently we have 7 inches and I am hoping for a few more.

It was so fun to wake up with the white snow glowing through the window.
Hubby and I got all geared up and took Jack out to play. Jack loves the snow. It's like the snow was meant for him. He could probably play in it all day if we let him.

I just love the snow. It seriously makes my heart happy.
My wish came true and I got to stay home and spend extra time with my hubby.
Today has been a great day and it's not even over yet!

jason's big northwest adventure

Our upcoming trip to Idaho will be Jason's second trip to the Great Northwest. But this trip will be his first chance to visit Idaho in the summer time and enjoy what I think is the perfect summer weather in the perfect summer town.

His first trip to the NW was back in December of 2008, which just happened to be our first Christmas as a married couple. He had never experienced a white Christmas before and this trip sure made up for all that snow he missed out on as a kid. We had a great time. I thought I would share some photos from that trip with you.
