I am glad to say that today was a better day. I some how managed to make it through without anything getting damaged. phew.
I am thankful for a better day and want to share with you some other things I am thankful for:
1. Therapy. I am not crazy, but it helps keep me sane.
2. My pets.
3. Today I saw two deer while I was running. Or maybe it was the same deer twice, but either way it was a blessing.
4. Good hair days.
5. Winning awesome giveaways like this one.
6. A loving husband to sleep next to every night.
7. Blog readers that are awesome and super supportive.

I really could go on, but I will save some for next time. What is something you are thankful for? It's always a good idea to take time out to appreciate things that often are taken for granted. That being said, hooray! for tomorrow being hump day!! One day closer to the weekend :)

be calm stay chill

Let's start on a good note.
Here are a couple outfit shots from while we were in Savannah.

volcom top, f21 cami and necklace, ae jeans, aldo sunnies, target boots (seen here and here)

Today was not the greatest day.
Have you ever heard of the old theory that bad things happen in three's?
Today I learned that it is very true. And very horrible.
Here are the three bad things that happened today:

1. Jack chewed up my faux fur vest (which I haven't even worn yet).
2. Coffee spilled in my Michael Kors purse and ruined the leather.
3. The coffee mentioned above also ruined my phone and the touch screen no longer works, thus my phone is useless unless someone calls me.

I don't want to end this blog on a sad note, so I want to share with you something that made me smile today.
Over the weekend my hubby and I did some pretty awesome shopping. One of our purchases was a sign that says "Keep Calm and Carry On." (like the one seen here)
As I texted my hubby throughout the day to tell him all the horrible things that were happening, he would try to cheer me up by reminding me about the saying on the sign. Only he could never get it right.
Hubby's versions of the above saying:
"be calm stay cool"
and
"be calm stay chill"
For some reason this made me laugh out loud every time. He was being so sweet and trying to make me feel better and it totally worked. Even though it was not exactly in the way he intended.
In fact, I am laughing out loud right now as I type this.
Maybe this is one of those situations where you had to be there, but it was too good for me to keep to myself!

So friends as we continue on this week just remember, be calm and stay chill!

the changing of the leaves

We went on a picnic with family this weekend.
The weather was a-mazing! It is so nice to see all the leaves starting to change. In case I haven't said before, this is my absolute favorite time of the year.
We went to the Tennessee Riverwalk for our picnic, which is the perfect place for short walks and awesome photo ops. It runs right along the river and has several fun little play grounds and spots to just relax and enjoy the nature.

Question, why do the weekends always seem to fly by? I wish it was opposite, as in we work two days and have off five days. I wonder if my boss would ever go for that. . . I probably shouldn't hold my breath.

Do you remember teeter totters from when we were kids?! I forgot how fun they are! haha

there's a first time for everything

f21 sweater and necklace, old navy tank, gap jeans, urban outfitters shoes

Okay folks, this is my first attempt at taking my own photos with a timer.
I realize the color and angle is not the best, but I do not have a tripod, thus I was forced to worked with what I had immediately available. Therefore, our outdoor side table got a temp job as a camera table.
Typically my hubby always takes my outfit photos, but he was working and I thought I would go with plan B and give it a try. I think I will just stick with plan A and have hubby take the photos of me from now on.
It's the end of the work week. I am pretty worn out. I only had the motivation to take six self photos and so these three made the cut.
Jack kept trying to steal my spotlight, so I let him have a photo all to himself. You will notice the much better quality of that one.
He is so spoiled, but he deserves it. He is way too handsome not to get his way.
Plus, he ways 75 lbs and could probably knock me over if he wanted to (but he loves me, so i am sure he would never want to).

Finally I can say Happy Weekend my dear friends!!!! Enjoy :)
