Phew. I feel so much better after a long and relaxing weekend with my hubby. We got in some major pool time, had fun with friends and family, got some cleaning(me) and studying(hubby) done and ate some yummy food. What did you guys do??
Well maybe I should tell you about one part that wasn't so great. My hubby started teaching me how to drive a stick shift. The last time I really drove one of those was when I was 15 and my dad was first teaching me how to drive. Then every car I have ever had was automatic, so I pretty much lost everything I had learned. Without going into major details; I'll just tell you that I was on the verge of tears by the time we got home. I don't think I was ready for that much pressure. The 10 cars behind me didn't really help the situation either. It's gonna take a lot of convincing for hubby to get me behind the wheel of his car again (he just got this car last week, before that his was automatic).
I am curious to know; do any of you drive a manual car? Or are you an automatic driver like me?

I'm definitely an automatic kinda gal! ;-) I think it would be nice to know how to drive a standard but I don't know if I have the nerve to actually learn how.
i drive an automatic now but i was in a manual before - give it 2 weeks of solid practice and you'll be a pro :)
My 1st car was a manual, but it takes a little time and practice to get it down! Do you not remember me trying to teach you??? lol
What kinda car did Jason get?
Found you from hearted girl and LOVE your blog and picture posts! Definitely a new follower. Actually, I would LOVE to use your "a trip to the market" post for a new thing I am trying called "Uniquely Your City". Let me know if that'd be okay!
Oh, and your love language must be like mine - quality time, to feel so good after a long weekend of time with your hubs. We did the same, and I love the way it leaves me feeling.
My trick for driving stick is watching the RPM monitor - I upshift just before it hits the three and downshift when it falls just below the 2. I'm not one of those "you'll just know when you need to shift" people. I got in a stick the other day and did great after ten years of not driving stick, but that definitely surprised even me!
Very nice outfit.
I like the colors.

I actually begged my boyfriend not to get a manual car! He is sure he could show me how to drive it, but I haven't driven since I was 16 either, it's always been automatic since then for me as well and I am just so nervous. There won't almost be tears for me, there will definitely be tears! I'm sure you will catch on in no time!
I drive a manual, and have for the last 8 years or so. My husband and I were just talking about this the other day. How when you're driving along in a manual transmission, the only time you notice it is when you're stuck in traffic. haha
I remember being terrified when learning, though! Those first few times out with my dad were the worst ever, and every time I got out of the car I vowed never to try again. Then he offered to buy me a car, but it had to be a manual transmission... It takes a few tries, but eventually you get it, and then you hardly notice you're shifting! Don't give up! :)
Love those sandals!
Recently, my car was stolen and my family was trying to convince me to get a standard because it was cheaper. My theory is I really don't like driving, especially in the city, so why would I want to drive stick which is like extra driving? Also it would take me way longer to get anywhere because I would avoid any sort of incline! Apparently people say it's fun. I say BAH!
